![]() If you like doing tremolo dives, check out the EC-1000FR. But overall, its an excellent sturdy built, and I would take this guitar over the Gibson Les Pauls any day. Personally, I would prefer 2 tones and 1 volume as opposed to 1 volume an d 2 tones and I think this guitar would be better suited with a string thru body type bridge. ![]() I've owned 3 of these already (only own one now). The guitar stays in tune with the locking tuners and is a great playing guitar. The set neck makes it easy to get up there and play leads. ![]() The neck is thin and comfortable and has 24 frets. Cosmetically, the finish is top notch with nice inlays around the body, headstock and even the fretboard. A guitar built like this with good passives in it really lets you hear the acoustic properties.Īnyway, the guitar itself is of high standards. I strongly recommend the guitar with the passive pickups. I have owned both versions of the EC-1000, one with the active pickups and the other with the passive pickups (JB/59).
